Francesco Totti has been named in Roma's squad for the Champions League return match with Manchester United on Tuesday.
The 30-year-old club captain has had sciatic nerves problems but should be able to play against Sir Alex Ferguson's side.
Ashton-under-Lyne-born midfielder Simone Perrotta will not be able to play at Old Trafford as the World Cup-winner is suspended after being cautioned in the first leg.
David Pizarro, the Peruvian midfielder who was suspended for the first leg, is the likely deputy for Perrotta.
Max Tonetto is still injured and was not named in the 20-man squad for Tuesday's clash.
Roma coach Luciano Spalletti rotated his squad for Saturday's 2-0 win over Catania, a match played on neutral soil at Lecce behind closed doors.
He singled out the form of Montenegrin international Mirko Vucinic who scored against United and Catania.
Spalletti said: "Mirko has done very well for us both today and against Manchester."
Among the likely starters against United who were rested against Catania were Daniele De Rossi, Alessandro Mancini, Cristian Chivu and Christian Panucci.
